Jan H.M. Hommen, Chairman Executive Board ING Group

Jan Hommen was appointed to the Supervisory Board of ING Group as of 1 June 2005 and became chairman of the Supervisory Board in January 2008. Until 1 May 2005, he was vice-chairman and CFO of Koninklijke Philips Electronics. From 1975 to 1997, he worked for Alcoa Inc. From 1978, he worked at Alcoa’s head office in the United States, becoming CFO in 1991.

On 26 January 2009, Jan Hommen was nominated for appointment to the Executive Board by the Supervisory Board. This nomination was adopted by the General Meeting of April 2009.

Jan Hommen is also chairman of the Management Boards Banking and Insurance.

Six Group staff departments report directly to Mr. Hommen: Corporate Legal Department, Corporate Human Resources, Corporate Development, Corporate Communications & Affairs, Public & Government Affairs and Corporate Audit Services.

Patrick G. Flynn, Member Executive Board and CFO ING Group, ING Bank and ING Insurance

Patrick Flynn was appointed a member of the Executive Board of ING Group on 27 April 2009. He is also chief financial officer.

Patrick Flynn is a fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants, Ireland and a member of the Association of Corporate Treasurers (UK). He holds a bachelor’s degree in Business Studies from Trinity College Dublin.

 

J.V. (Koos) Timmermans, Member Executive Board and CRO ING Group, ING Bank and ING Insurance

Koos Timmermans was appointed a member of the Executive Board of ING Group on 24 April 2007. He is also chief risk officer. Mr Timmermans started his career with ING in 1996.

Koos Timmermans graduated from Erasmus University Rotterdam in 1986 with a master’s degree in economics.
